20-29
At this point in the game you are going to find dead spots
while you level. You will be at a point in your leveling when
you realize that some of the quests are too high in level for
you to do alone. So what is a player to do? You want to run
instances and you want to do them a few times to get yourself
equipment and lots of very decent experience. Some of the
instances have quests so keep your eyes open for them.
Now there is one instance that is basically impossible for
the horde to do and that is the one that as Alliance you want
to work on first. If you had done the quests through the
Deadmines you have been given new quests for the Stockades. A
prison currently undergoing a massive break out and the
prisoners are all over the place and have taken hold. You will
be going in there to clear that place out.
At around level 22 you can head out to Silverpine Forest for
Shadowfang Keep. A massive keep on the hills filled with the
undead and many spirits. This instance has lots of fantastic
equipment especially for you cloth wearers out there.
A little higher in level, around 23 - 24 you can head out to
Ashenvale and take on Naga and giant turtles in Blackfathom
Deep.
Finally near the upper end of this level block and well into
halfway of the next you can head to Gnomeregan, the Gnome city
currently lost during the war with the Burning Legion. This
instance is incredibly massive, taking 2-4 hours to complete.
Many players I have seen for some reason hate doing this
instance due to some very dangerous points where you can easily
become overwhelmed. It is important to have decent crowd
control, or if you know a high level player or 2 to take you
along that is fantastic.
Doing these instances guarantees you a short amount of time
between levels and in no time at all you will be ready to move
on, but what if you cannot find a group? What if you are too
busy to get a group and just want to level? From this point on
in the game there is no need to tell you where to go if you are
a Night Elf or Gnome. At this point you are wandering around
more and you will hunt and quest out of several zones so I am
not going to divide these up anymore. Horde and Alliance can
hunt out of all of these areas, but my Horde Alliance
distinction is more of a suggestion than anything else.

Alliance
Duskwood, Stonetalon Mountains, Redridge Mountains, Wetlands,
Alterac Mountains, Thousand Needles
Horde
Stonetalon Mountains, Wetlands, Alterac Mountains, Thousand
Needles
Horde, you can still go to Duskwood and Redridge Mountains
just be careful of the Alliance Patrols in the areas. They tend
to not like you and can really give you a hard time.
