7-10
Once you hit level 6 it is time to move on, I know I know you are going to miss this area and I suppose you really could stay and you might actually and eventually make another level or two. The trainers will not talk to you though after level 6 and trust me you will also want to get out into the world and start to see some really cool stuff and you want to meet some new people and see the high levels walking around and start salivating over the items they have.
So you humans head out to Goldshire, dwarves and gnomes you head down the road over to Kharanos and you big eared Night Elves head down to Dolanaar. Over on the Horde side, Orcs and Trolls you have options, you can either head for Senijin Village to the south or head north to Razor Hill. Either location will give you decent quests. The Tauren will head down the road to the west and end up in Bloodhoof village and you undead, get your rotting carcasses over to Brill. These towns are your homes for a few more levels and once again area really does not matter at this point, there are plenty of quests in one contained area.
I must stress that when you log out of the game you should always log out inside of an Inn or a major city.
What is a major city?
For the alliance it is Stormwind, Ironforge and Darnassus and for the Horde it is Orgrimaar, Undercity and Thunderbluff. Logging out anywhere where your character's portrait in the upper left hand side of the screen is flashing yellow will allow you to gain rest experience. Rest experience will allow you to gain experience on a creature for double the amount you normally would. This rest experience has the potential of generating up to 2 levels worth before you no longer have anymore. It takes a long time to generate this rest experience so you will normally only see a small amount. Your experience bar will be blue instead of purple and once you fill up the lightly shaded area it will revert to normal experience in the color of purple.
Once you reach level 10 some new decisions have to be made. Some players I know will remain in the areas I mentioned in this section for another level or two. This is fine, you can easily continue and even pick up some new quests. I titled this chapter 6-10 though as the best thing you could possibly do is relocate at level 10. For alliance many quests are waiting for you in Westfall and they are rather contained between Sentinel Hill and a few farms. For the Horde you want to head to Crossroads. Crossroads has so many incredible quests for those at level 10, you will be there easily until you around level 19 - 20.
Out of all of the races, the Night Elves have it the worst if they wish to relocate to Stormwind or Ironforge. They must leave Teldrassil and take a boat from Darkshore to the Wetlands and from there they have a very dangerous journey towards Ironforge.
Now, if you wish to leave your racial lands then Night Elves will finally leave Teldrassil and take a Griffon or a boat to Darkshore where they must make a marathon run through very dangerous territory to make it to Loch Modan and then run through Dun Morogh and finally touch foot in Ironforge. This trip is not easy to make, all other races for Alliance may take the tram from Stormwind to Ironforge and vice versa. The Horde simply have to navigate the Barrens to head for another city. Which is easier for the Tauren to make. If you play a Night Elf and you wish to stay in your lands, you may run your questing from the town of Auberdine in Darkshore.
Dwarves and Gnomes have Loch Modan that they can progress to if they wish not to go to Westfall.
